The Olympic Torch in Dorking

It was with great excitement that last Friday afternoon, the Templar team headed out to join the crowds lining the streets of Dorking to watch the Olympic flame being carried through. The build up was fantastic and the atmosphere electric.

There were children with homemade flags, streamers and whistles, alongside many adults who could barely contain their excitement: Jayne and I even managed to high-five a policeman as he sped past on his motorbike!



Running only slightly behind schedule, the cheering crowd alerted us that the torch was near!

Blink and you would have missed it, that's my excuse for my rather pathetic back-shot anyway, and as with many big events that you are looking forward to - it was over all too quickly. However, we all trudged back to the office (pub) feeling that the games had really just begun...
