It's the year of the Monkey!

Happy Chinese New Year! This year is the year of the monkey so to celebrate we thought we'd have a look at some of the fabulous monkey-themed titles found here at Kings Road Publishing, some new and some not so new.

First up we have Animalium, a beautiful book by Katie Scott and Jenny Broom. Containing detailed spreads of many species of animals, there's a whole double page dedicated to primates! Did you know primates evolved between 65 and 85 million years ago? Or that, unlike other animals, they can see a large spectrum of colour? These are just some of the amazing facts you can learn inside!

If you're craving facts with a more hands-on approach, check out the next book How Animals Live by Christiane Dorion and Beverley Young. With pop-up pages and flaps to open, there will be plenty for you to explore - such as, who else do these rainforest monkeys share their home with?

It's not just monkey facts we do here! In You... by Emma Dodd, we go on a journey through the jungle and find out about a daddy monkey who loves his son very much.

This monkey is fed up with being a monkey - so he decides to copy everyone he sees, from a flapping parrot to a snapping crocodile. Unfortunately, Monkey doesn't quite get it right... Monkey See, Monkey Do by Liza Miller tells the story of how Monkey learns to swing through the trees and how to love being a monkey!
